How do the discounts work? Do I get 30% of everything I order?
All Marvel and DC titles, including their sub-companies (like Vertigo, etc) will receive a 30% discount. We will also give you a 30% discount on Trades, and Hardcovers from Marvel, and DC. Diamond Previews is also 30% off.
Other publishers will recieve a 20% discount, as they cost us more as well.
Non-Comic items like posters, statues, novelty items, etc. will vary between 0 & 30% off depending on the discount we get. Please ask us before ordering if you have questions.
Since our cost (and every other comic store in Canada), is based in US Dollars, we will take the US Dollar price of your comic, apply your discount, and add the exchange rate we paid.
Here is an example...
Lets say you ordered Amazing Spider-Man and the cover price is $2.99 US
Since the exchange rate changes each week, we bag your orders for the week with an item by item list of all costs, discounts, and the exchange rate.
WE DO NOT PROFIT OR LOSE MONEY FROM THE EXCHANGE RATE
The Canadian price listed on comics are sometimes unfair in both direction (too high or too low). Our clients alway pay the fair price.
Is my discount off the USA or Canadian price?
What is the minimum quantity I need to order to get these great discounts?
All customers get the same VIP treatment...so 1 regular title is all you need to get these discounts.
When do I need to have my orders in to benefit from the discounts?
Most items that we order for you are done at least 2 months in advance.
Let us explain how the system works...
We place our orders with our distributor on the last week of each month for comics that will come out 2 months later.
So if you have titles that you collect each month there is no problem since we will know in advance to order them for you, but ANY CHANGES we need to know about 1 WEEK BEFORE THE ORDERING DEADLINE so we have time to enter them in the system.
Anything you order after our deadline will be on a BEST EFFORT (meaning no guarantee that you will get it!) basis, and will only receive a 10% discount, as our discount for reorders is lower than when we make our regular order.

I collect Variant Covers, how does this work at your store?
Firstly, we can only order the Variants by our ordering deadline as mentioned above. So if we suddenly get 10 requests for a variant cover one month before it comes out, and we put in our order the month before that...there is not much we can do.
Also, we never get EVERY variant...please talk to us in advance and we will let you know what will be available.
This is how variant covers work....
In most cases for every certain number of copies of a book we order, we will be entitle to order 1 variant cover that is produced in much more limited supply. Since we always have more customers that want to buy these comics, and we can get here is a fair system we have developed (and if you have a better idea...we would like to hear it!)
Variants are on a first come first served basis. The people who order first have the best chance...not the people who are the biggest customers...we are fair to everyone this way.
You can pay 2 different ways. The way most people pay is what we call the "retail" way. We charge about $1 to $1.25 for every copy we need to order to get the variant. So a 1 in 10 variant will usually be about $10. Reserve customers get 10% off this price. If you want to get your variant cheaper we offer a "wholesale" option. In this option you order as many copies of the regular issue as required to get the variant, and get a big discount off everything. For example, lets say there was a 1 in 10 Batman variant, and the regular cover price of the Batman comic was $2.99. If you order 10 copies of the Batman comic, you will get 30% off all of your copies, plus the variant will also get 30% off the cover price. So you pay a little over $2 US for the variant instead of $9 ($10 - 10%).
Do I need to PRE-PAY for my comics like at other comic shops?
No prepayment is required.
Do I need to leave a deposit to start a reserve?
We ask that you leave a deposit with us equal to 1 month of comic orders, minimum $20 when you open your reserve.
If you prefer we can also take an imprint of your Mastercard or Visa, and have you sign an authorization to charge your card for comic orders.
Your choice.
We will refund all money you have left with us upon you cancelling your reserve.
We unfortunately need to ask for deposits as a certain percentage of clients (a small percentage) do not pick up their comics, and we are stuck paying for them.
How often do I need to come to pick up my comics?
Some of our customers come in each week (some even more often!), some every second week, and some busier ones once a month.
If you have a credit card on file that we can charge your order, and you can only come in every few months there is no problem.
However, in other circumstances if you have not come in for 2 months, we will attempt to contact you with the contact information you provide us. If you do not respond by paying for your items with 1 week, we reserve the right to cancel your reserve and keep your deposit.
Should you find yourself unable to come in for a specified perion, please contact us in advance, and fund some of your purchases for the next few weeks / months. We will be happy to store everything for you until your return.
